Winter 2012 Cooking Class Schedule:                            Winter 2012 Class List

  • Class Fee is $40 plus GST per person
  • All Classes Start at 6:30 pm and are approx. 2 to 2 ½ hrs in length.
  • Classes are held at #10 – 2605 Broadway Avenue (Avalon Shopping Centre)
  • Cancellation Policy: If you are unable to attend a class that you have registered for, please note that no refunds will be issued. You may either send someone in your place, or register for another class, provided there are spaces available. By registering and making payment for a class, you are agreeing to this policy.

This one was so popular we’re doing it again! It’s that time of year – these flavourful and easy meals will be great additions to your mealtime repertoire: Jerk Pork Stew, Greek Pastitsio, Chipotle Chicken & Rice, and Roasted Ratatouille and Chevre Pasta Bake

FABULOUS VEGETARIAN ONE-DISH MEALS
Even non-vegetarians won’t miss the meat with these dishes! Mushroom Shepherd’s Pie, French Lentil Casserole with Herbed Croutons, Savoury Butternut Squash Bread Pudding and Spinach Artichoke Manicotti with Vodka Sauce.

French cuisine, Québecois-style! The ever-classic tourtière, wine-braised cabbage, Coq au Vin with mashed potatoes, traditional pea soup, salad and chômeur (Poor Man’s Maple Pudding).

Many of us know we should eat more of it, but struggle to find ways to prepare it. Here are four recipes sure to please the palate: Thai Fish Cakes, Brazilian Tilapia Stew with Coconut Milk, Steelhead Trout Wellington and Indian Red Fish Curry.

You asked for it! Come indulge in this sweet & sinful evening. We will prepare a cranberry lime tart, biscotti, pastel tres leches (Mexican 3 milk cake), chocolate mascarpone phyllo triangles, Red Velvet cupcakes (or brownie) and peanut butter pie.

IT’S SPRING – TIME FOR GREEK !
Something about Spring just beckons Greek cuisine! We will prepare tyropita (cheese phyllo triangles), keftedakia (beef & lamb meatballs) with tzatziki, garides me feta (shrimp with feta), lemon roast potatoes, salad and melopita (Greek honey pie). IOpa!
